ABOUT ADRIENNE
Growing up in the lower mainland, I was fortunate to have positive influences and experiences when faced with health challenges. I was inspired and driven to provide the same positive experiences for others and found myself half-way around the world in beautiful Western Australia to complete a Master’s in Physiotherapy in 2010. During my studies I became enlightened to the involvement of Physios in pelvic health and the positive impact that we could have on quality of life for those experiencing pelvic health issues. After returning home to BC and working in various public health settings, I gained an appreciation for the lack of awareness and difficulties in accessing pelvic health care. This lit my fire and I returned to Australia to pursue further studies and complete a Post Grad Certificate in Physiotherapy with Continence and Pelvic Health major in 2014. I am a quiet, calm and reflective personality that values the individual stories and experiences that my clients bring. I love working together to support them with their self-identified needs and goals, whether it be daily function or high-level performance. I enjoy treating all areas of pelvic health with a whole-body approach and have a particular interest in supporting people in pregnancy and postpartum. As a lifelong learner, I strive to continually evolve my practice to better service my clients as better science becomes available. Improving pelvic health awareness and accessibility is my passion, which I am currently involved in various national working groups and educational opportunities with my community, peers and other healthcare professionals. Outside of my professional activities, I live an entertainingly chaotic life as a lucky mama to 2 little humans.
